210 Linden Boulevard, one of the most interesting houses in Flatbush, is being torn down.
Described by Brownstoner as "Four-Square with Renaissance Revival/ Beaux Arts style ornament", it's been in rough shape for a while. Apparently it was used as doctor's offices for decades and had several additions and alterations over the years.
Right now there is a stop work order on the fence. Along with two neighboring buildings, it was slated to be torn down for a condo building. The buildings next to it are completely down already. This one has just the facade left.
Anyone know why there's a stop work order?
I want that stonework lion's head!

Pay one of the construction guys to save the lion's head for you.

Went there today to do just that. Nobody was there, though.

Now the lot is for sale. Not sure what's going on here. Another flip?

Developers sometimes sell their properties when they decide they:

    - have too much work on their plate

    - need the $ for a more profitable project

    - have had a falling out with the lead contractor who was going to build it.

    - lose their financing, or want to use the financing somewhere else.

    - can earn a nice profit based on the work they have already done with the DOB.

I miss K-Dog as well, but Tip of the Tongue is a worthy successor.
