Who grew up in Brooklyn on 12 Street between 8th and 9th Avenue in the fifties and sixties

Welcome to the blog. I grew up on 12th Street near 6th Ave in the 30's and 40's. I am afraid that is way off your target. I used to walk or bike 12th between 8th & 9th ave on the way to Prospect Park. I also used to deliver for a Meat Market all over the neighborhood in the late 40's to early 50's. The factories between 6th & 7th aves made for great dumpster diving. I graduated from Manual Training H.S. (Later called John Jay) in 1951. My monicker (Old Goat) says it all.
