What's Goin' On? 8/6/15 @ 7:30am

NYPD choppering around Franklin between Bergen & Classon.

I have heard rumors that an arrest was made at the nearby S station.

I was wondering the same thing as I walked north on Classon around 7:05a and had to jump out of the way as a marked car (to be fair he had lights and sirens going) went against traffic on Classon... on the sidewalk (despite the empty street).

I look forward to reading about how the whole 77th precinct showed up to beat the crap out of some guy who jumped the turnstile/tried to smoke a joint on the way to work.

This thing was hovering so low over my apartment on St. Marks between Franklin and Bedford that it woke me up. I expected to see info on one of the scanner Twitter accounts but nothing yet.

The NYPD seems to be using its helicopters more often for less serious events.

I kind of look forward to when they use drones more often; they are much quieter and the sight of them might not make people wonder whether a major crime has occured.
