Assault in Brower Park

Just to let everyone know, I heard from the Block Association (St. Mark's, in front of the BCM) that a woman was assulted as she was running in the early am (5 am) on Brooklyn Ave. next to Brower Park. She was apparently thrown to the ground, and a small purse was taken. So much $ is going in to the museum, but is anything being done to increase security in the surrounding areas?? We have personally experienced two muggings near the park, and know from neighbors that this is not uncommon.

I've been attending some meetings and guess I need to be attending more. The shooting last night sounded way to close to home...
