I am pleased to report that (as predicted) a new potential tenant has been found. The new entity's name is "Sweet Brooklyn Bar"

Is Spirited moving east? My understanding is that their lease was bought out.

When I last spoke with the owner of Spirited (the bar that was located in the former Beast space on Vanderbilt), she confirmed that her lease was bought out. However, she had no destination in mind.

I'm interested in seeing how Sweet Brooklyn will position itself, given its proximity to Atlantic.

A little digging indicates that the entity was formed back in Dec 2014, and lists a PO box as incorporation address.

Construction is not yet visible to the naked eye.   

To my surprise, there is a real estate ad.    This deal may not be certain.

Given that this location already had much of the infrastructure in place (i.e. was a bar), it should not be long.

As per Rachel, the owner says they hope to open in Mid January.

Now hiring bar and back of the house staff.

However, permit is still in pending status.

So, they must be optimistic that the permit will be granted soon.
