The deceased has been named:

"A man was fatally shot Saturday night just steps away from a block party in Brooklyn.

The 41-year-old victim, identified by family as Damon Haskins, was hit in the chest near Stroud Playground in Prospect Heights after shots rang out around 8:30 p.m., witnesses said."
