Brooklyn: Rochester Ave & Eastern Parkway Crime scene being
established in regards to a male stabbed, EMS requested on a rush.

    The Daily News usually publishes an article on the day after Labor Day that counts them all.

    Needless to say, people object it being attributed to the "culture" of people of West Indian descent.

    I am of the perspective that the DN does not have such intent.

    No idea if the perps are West Indian or African American. I've heard w.i. Immigrants here swear it's never folks from the islands but rather AAs. Who knows. Just a higher per capita rate than other parades/festival: Israel day, Chinese New Year, French, even drunken st patty day

    The distinction between whether the perps are West Indian or African American is important to those who fear that people will generalize the actions of the individuals to the overall group.

    Approximately a million people come to the parade and the various events held over the weekend, so the relationship does not seem very strong.

    ....however, the weekend certainly has violence as one of its characteristics.
