Q's Tavern undergoing a complete cleaning

I thought I had seen some unusual activity at Q's Tavern on Nostrand between Lincoln and St. Johns a few days ago,but on Monday night I noticed that the interior was mostly vacant, and the large mirror on the wall was covered by a tarp.  Initially I thought Q's might be another casualty of the rent wars on Nostrand, but last night I observed it open and fully functional.  I guess they must have been doing a thorough cleaning.  False alarm!

Wow. I never would have thought that Q's was going to close. I am shocked. 

Sh*t! best bar on nostrand!  

This place had been on my list to go to for a while, but it seems I missed out.   

I wonder if their lease came up for renewal.

Looks like this was a false alarm.  I walked by Q's tonight and it was up and running as usual.  I gather what I was observing the last few days was just a deep cleaning.  I imagine after all of these years, it could use one.
