Saturday morning several area roads will be closed to accommodate thousands of sweaty, near naked runners.

It usually ends by 10 AM, about the time I expect to wake up and walk my dog.

This is a different organization. Not "The" Brooklyn Half Marathon, just "A" Brooklyn Half Marathon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can see (and hear) traffic backing up on Empire Boulevard from my window. I guess these motorists didn't get the memo?

As of 11 AM traffic along the Crown Heights/PLG border was congested, and Flatbush Avenue NB was still closed between Ocean Avenue/Empire Boulevard and Grand Army Plaza. I don't think NB traffic came through until about 11:30 or so. It was nice walking in the street on a car-free Flatbush Avenue.

By the way, for next time, it'd be nice to have someone directing traffic at Empire and Washington. Traffic making that turn onto NB Washington kept blocking the intersection and the crosswalk.

I also saw NYPD officers who were part of the counterterrorism unit.
