Why hasn't the Lincoln/Washington laundromat opened?

I'm honestly confused and interested. It's been under construction for a year and a half. What leads to this kind of major delay? Licensing issues? Funding pulled? I'd imagine that rent isn't cheap.

I believe the apartments above are still vacant as well.

Have they been unable to get their certificate of occupancy?

It appears as if DOB may not have issued the C of O, on the basis of the boiler not being inspected/approved.

Interesting. On the one hand, it's surprising that a boiler could things up this long. On the other, regulatory agencies can be pretty damned slow. Thanks for this.

It finally opened!

I that saw this weekend! A few months ago I saw tenants in the apartments, which gave me hope this day would come.
