An open thread about Crown Heights for 2015 and 2016

Indeed. My thought is that this site has become too real estate and restaurant focused, and might benefit from more casual threads where people just jabber.

Was this the best year for firework s in prospect park as seen from my CH roof top or am I imagining it. Also a tremendous amount of private gun owner shooting the stars.

The first time Obama was elected was when I heard the most celebratory gun shots in Crown Heights.

I really, really wish that there was an aboveground trolley on Eastern Parkway. It could go in a loop from Grand Army Plaza to the end of Eastern Parkway. It would be awesome. 

On summer weekends, the cultural institutions sponsor a bus made to look like a trolley.    I think it goes from the GAP library to as far as the Children's Museum.  

You may need to have someone under 10 or over 70 with you.

Haha. I mean a REAL trolley. Or a streetcar named desire. I'd have it run up and down the service roads (and BAN parking on the service roads). 

I like the concept, but think you will run into problems executing the plan.

The recent Chanukah RV parade might be the closest thing we have to mass transportation of an impractical variety.   I counted around 50 RVs and 100 minivans.    .
