They seem to have other outlets, including at the Cafe of the Brooklyn Public Library

And a coffee-and-pie shop at 3rd Avenue and 7th Street in Gowanus.

By opening on presently-sleepy Dean St, they seem to be counting on future Pacific Park residents for much of their business.

They have a HUGE following in the food scene, including a successful cookbook, collaborations with ample hills and shake shack, and probably a bunch of other things.  They could open with an unmarked door in a back alley and still command a lot of traffic, so it makes sense that they wouldn't want to pay more to be out on Vanderbilt.  This is, I think, only their second stand alone location, so this is a huge deal for the area.  I know I'll be on before too long.

Rachel reports that TerraCRG is still at the Dean St location, the pie place seems to be sharing the space.

The pie and beer place will be on the first floor, while the real estate place occupies the second.

TerraCRG will continue to be the primary tenant in the building. Four and Twenty Blackbirds will occupy a small retail space.
