Just curious - former bodega owner St. Johns/Washington

This is odd to ask so many years later, but as the construction continues to progress on this lot, I realize I have no idea what happened to the former owner of the bodega that burned down. Has anyone ever seen him around, or know if he started a new business?  I used to stop in frequently because I was always working late and it was one of the few places open, but never knew any details other than that he was from Yemen. At the time of the fire, I was home for a brief visit while living overseas, so I hadn't been there in well over a year. Would love to know if he rebuilt a business elsewhere after the fire.

I don't know about a new business or how to reach him, but I saw him and said hi a few weeks ago on Eastern Parkway near the library. Sal, I think. "Thanks be to god," he always said. Seemed like he was OK.

Aw, that's nice to hear rednaxela! It's been so long I'm not guaranteed to recognize him as easily if I just saw him on the street. Glad to know he's well.
