1524 Bergen (near Utica) wants to become a bagel cafe that serves beer and wine.

 

If all goes well, it will named:  Bagel Bomb Café

It appears as if the whole block could have first floor commercial spaces.   

I love that house to the left. It probably is the oldest house on the block.  It reminds me of a shot gun shack from Mississippi. I believe it's occupied.

Sorry, it's boarded up.  Seems some LLC bought it last year.  Adios amigo.  

I wonder if the building that replaces it will have a commercial overlay.

Even if it does, it would not surprise me if the new building is exclusively residential.

Capt and I were briefly talking about the house the left of the proposed bagel cafe.

As far as I know, plans for the bagel cafe are moving forward.
