Call me crazy but can that area support another coffee shop?

Perhaps this one will put a different one out of business.

i used to live a block away from this corner and honestly it'll probably work out fine. i never patronized the other coffee shops south on washington because i took the C train every morning to the north and sit and wonder would be too out of my way. besides, there's a ton of new buildings being built around here, aren't there? like on st marks and bergen.

if anyone goes out of business i hope it's konditori. that place was hella expensive

Konditori seems to be popular with the AirBnB crowd.

Perhaps Europeans staying in the area received targeted advertising somehow.

This is not even the 1st "Australian-style" coffee shop here! Milk Bar is less than 1/2 mile away.

The Sun Burnt Calf (now known as Tin Kettle) is/was also Aussie owned.

will go for the coffee, not the food.  Those prices are not coffee-shop prices.

$14 for those tiny pancakes that even they admit “You eat it and they’re so light, you don’t feel horrible"...you just feel hungry

Damn, those food prices are high for the portions pictured. They need to knock off a few bucks.

They're off to a solid start.   I went in for a coffee this weekend, and found out quickly, this is a restaurant, with tables packed and people waiting.  The brunches served looked great.  But visit somewhere else for a quick latè grab
