Lucky for her, she is unopposed on the ballot.. 

Vinny Martinos (Det. 71st precinct) said that the charges will be dropped. He says the kid fabricated the story.

In my experience, unless the injuries are severe or part of a pattern, criminal charges are not pursued and the family is referred to preventive services.

I don't think I could be a politician as a result of everything I do being of interest to the public, and "leaked" information and rumors.
