There goes another bodega (Christopher deli)
Marco555
Christopher deli (on Franklin between St. John's and Sterling place) is closed with a "for rent" sign on it.

dac545I noticed this the other day too. They always had an extensive but unpredictable beer selection. -

Marco555Seems there's something in the works -- the "for rent"'sign is gone and whynot's link no longer works -
Marco555Confirmed --- works happening and permits are up! -
whynot_31The ask was $5k a month. https://www.agorafy.com/listing/158768/758-Franklin-Avenue-Retail-for-Lease-Ground Not a really big space... I hope they bring their A Game. Franklin Ave is not for amatuers. -
whynot_31Now in the process of becoming a bar or restaurant. Lots of work going on: Ventilation, tiling, etc. Worker did not know what type of food would be served. He was too far down the food chain. -
stjohnsplThe guys that work there said it was going to be a Korean place with the goal of opening in 2 weeks. Hopefully they stick to the timeline! -
whynot_31I looked in last night and they are pretty close to being done, but construction equipment is still visible. ...other people have also been told that this will be a Korean restaurant. -
howncreightsLooks nice. Exposed brick and artfully sloppy painting. The LLC is called Good Chance something something. -
whynot_31edited October 2017Indeed. A request for a full liquor license has now been started by Good Chance 758 Corp., 758 Franklin Avenue (Sterling/St. John’s) – Full. Note, I expect this place to open before they obtain their liquor lic, given how far along they are in construction and how long liquor licenses take to obtain. -

Rick656Looks good but pricey. -
goldemi1Are those prices in Thai bhats or Vietnam dongs? I'll check it out, better be a nice sit down joint with great food for those dollars in this neighborhood. -

Rick656My wife and I went here and really like it. Went in person and ordered delivery, which was fast and currently offering 15% off online orders I think.
