Bang bang, at 2 am?

What was that about? Sounded like it came from north of me (above Prospect Place on Washington) - were those real gunshots? Freaked us out, woke us up...

Hmm, don't know. I live on the same corner as you, Prospect @ Grand. Nothing woke me up. If you hear anything else though, keep us posted.

Subject: i'm not nuts!

i was also woken by these loud "bang! bang!" sounds, but then thought maybe it was all in my head or part of a dream.
i didn't hear any sirens, but there were a few officers milling about around that police office/building/place between Park Pl and Prospect Pl about 10 minutes after the noise woke me up.

i'm glad someone else heard this and posted because i've been wondering all morning. sometimes i hear kids playing with those snap gunpowder toys (you throw on the sidewalk and they make a loud SNAP noise), but i don't think that's what it was because i'm not easily woken from sleep.

No, no. Those weren't caps. They were definately shots. Sounded as if they came from my backyard. Only posting cuz' it's been a long time since they've been heard over here. Last time was right here on Washington and some kid got popped and was first responder during Saturday Night Live in 04'. At least that really is the last I remeber them being so close. There were about 8 reports with a long drawn out pause between them. I was worried about ripple or some shit. I know Syron too well.
