Wonder if she realizes that most Orthodox Jews in her district aka Chabad/Lubavitcher don't share YU's views towards Israel and Zionism

She likely wants to neutralize them enough that they do not successfully run a candidate against her. ...I suspect she knows that the vast majority do not share her very liberal "progressive" views. Hence, she defends herself against the usual accusations by surrounding herself with YU students. ....and can respond to those who don't like her by stating "You don't speak for everyone in the community. You don't even speak for everyone in "your" community."

Interesting, makes sense. As a liberal/progressive, she most definitely doesn't agree with YU's views on Israel either. Would be fun to ask her to share her thoughts on the 2-vs-1 state solution at her next Q & A.

If she is smart, she would state that her role in the state assembly does not allow her to influence such international policies, and then take the next question. ...which will hopefully involve whether LED streetlights are right for Eastern Parkway.

We don't seem to have a lot of BDS folks in the neighborhood. They tend to be in Park Slope. https://www.google.com/#q=BDS+park+slope
