Baking store? Cupcake emergency.

I'm in a cupcake emergency. NY Cake Decorating on 22nd st closes at 6 and I won't be able to make it there. Does anyone know of a cake decorating place or baking store or anything that is opened later than that? Anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn or even (gasp) Queens.

I need to get pretty cupcake liners (the kind that are opaque) and edible flowers.

What about the place on Washington & St. Marks - right near Natural Heights? Im not sure what time they stay open but I am almost positive I went in there around 6:30 last week.

The cupcake liners should be easy to get, but I'm not sure about the edible flowers. That's a tough one. Maybe Zabar's? Broadway Panhandler would have the liners, but not the flowers.

okay, not sure if this is at all helpful but there is a little section in the Met - I know the Met - that has a lot of birthday baking stuff - candles, liners, and I even think edible stuff to go on cakes. I'm not sure if you were looking for something specific or not and I don't remember what kind of stuff they have, but I do remeber that they have "stuff" - good luck :D

I just remembered- I think the Whole Foods at Union Square has a pretty big baking section, although I'm not sure about the specific items you're looking for. I'd give a few of these places a call if I were you, rather than making a bunch of fultile trips.

Broadway Panhandler has SERIOUS cake decorating supplies, and might even have sugar flowers.
Don't forget they just moved to 8th St, near Broadway.

    I love Broadway Panhandler!

Me too! They have great prices for most kitchen supplies. And it's the best value place to get good knives (although the knives aren't as cool as the ones you can get at Korin).

    who Korin?

    p.s.
    I google, I sigh.
I'm having a hard enough time keeping my girlfriend from destroying my conventionally good knives. If I had summaKorin, I might be tempted to use them on her.
    (sigh)

This probably comes too late for your emergency, but The Blue Apron Cafe on Union and 7th in Park Slope sells edible flowers and other sorts of gourmet food items.

That's the one. I wandered in there one day in search of a rice crispy treat and was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of imported goods and a pretty extensive "stinky" cheese selection. I made note of the edible flowers because it's the kind of thing you almost never need, but when you do, you can't think of where to get it.
