I usually go with Kiku, but be sure to get from the place on 7th ave and not 5th.

I'm not sure what the story with these two places are but the 5th ave place often tries to poach the 7th ave places business. They don't put their address on the menus that they put on people's doorsteps in the south slope, houses that are steps from the 7th ave location.

I asked once and they said they weren't affiliated with each other but they have to be in some way, the menus are identical as well as, of course, the name.

Anyway, the sushi from Kiku on 7th ave is good.

I ordered my last roll from Kiku on 5th Avenue today. They sent the wrong roll. I was ravenous and would have ate anything, but the roll they sent me had nothing but cucumbers in it! When I called reporting the mix-up, the woman started arguing with me, insisting that I had ordered what they had sent me. She refused to take it back. I never threw away $8.00 so quickly.

Any thoughts on Tamari on 5th Avenue?

I have yet to be happy with any Slope sushi.
    It's disappointing.

It's not south slope, but I love Geido. So yummy! It melts in your mouth and warms up your stomach, esp with some hot sake. Great atmosphere, too.

Besides for the Kiku on 5th Avenue, is there a Kiku on 7th Avenue? If so, what are the cross streets?
