open house new york this weekend

to quote straight off their website: "openhousenewyork hosts year-round educational programs celebrating New York City’s built-environment, culminating in America’s largest architecture and design event, the Annual openhousenewyork Weekend."

this weekend is it. there are plenty of tours (such as touring the Mary Whalen tanker in Red Hook) still available in and around Brooklyn, but all in NYC. go check it out, and have fun!

I don't see the Bklyn subway tunnel one listed this year . . .
I love the dazzling mosaic in the former bank space at One Hansen Pl/the Brooklyn clocktower, and OHNY is the only time you could get in there . . .
