Hi everyone,
I am looking for a great hair salon (by great I mean the cut, not an expensive place with attitude) that cuts caucasian hair.
This sounds a bit strange to me, but if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.
I am in Ft Greene.

Thanks! Have a wonderful w/e.

Ha! I fully understand your predicament. I haven't found a place yet.

My girlfriend gets her hair cut at Beehive in Williamsburg. They do a good job and compaired to Manhattan prices, it's not too bad. But like so many things in Williamsburg, it's sometimes accompanied by that surly, hipster attitude. Not all of the hairdressers are snobs--some were quite friendly. But last time I got dizzy from rolling my eyes so much while I waited for my girlfriend to get her trim.

I like Beehive, but lately it got too expensive for me. $50 is just too much for a men's hair cut. My girlfriend ditched Beehive for Lilypad, which is close by on Metropolitan Avenue. The woman who runs Lilypad is really nice and the cuts are cheaper.

Yep, as a caucasian in Fort Greene I've been making the trek to surrounding hoods since 1975. I imagine it's only a matter of time till a place opens up around here, but no such luck yet.

if it's a simple cut and you dont' mind getting it cut by men only, you can go to changing faces salon on fulton next to not ray's pizza.

they are hardworking dudes in there, open at 7am if you want.

they probably specialize in cuts with clippers, though. but i'm sure if it's simple straight hair that you need 3 inches off ,they can bring their shears out.
