need an apartment in brooklyn

hey all, my friend and I are lookin for a place preferably 2 br for 1400 or less, and we commute to manhattan so we need a releatively short commute (30 minutes or less preferably). The area doesnt matter much, as long as its decently safe. I lived in northwest philly for two years, I just dont wanna deal with that again. Been looking on craigslist for about a month and seen some places but Im not to familiar with the neighborhoods. I know park slope, williamsburg, and brooklyn heights are decent areas, but expensive. any recommendations or know anyone movin out?

why don't you try bushwick, somewhere along the L Train line?

you could get 2 br for 1400 but it has to be more in and its a nice area. try bensonhurst hehe. but its a far long train ride in brooklyn.
