Featured Photo

Can anyone explain why the Muddy Waters storefront is featured on this site? Just curious

The photo was posted in sarcasm. Looking for a photo to run at the top, representing this board and neighborhood, at least temporarily, the Muddy Waters photo was chosen because above and beyond everything else, we all like to trash the chick that runs the place. Also, if you know her and know her rigid policing of the bench outside, it becomes kinda funny that there's this homeless lady camped out there.

No... Just for the record, my intention wasn't to be sarcastic, or "trash" anybody, or make fun of the lady sitting there, who was singing hymns and (I think) waiting for a ride. She happened to be sitting there when I took the photo, and photos with people are always more interesting than photos without people.

The photo is there because (1) we needed a photo to fill up the space and (2) at the time, the Muddy Waters thread was the epicenter of discussions on this board. To better reflect the current zeitgeist of the board, we should definitely change the picture to a photo of the controversial "Meat Vent" above El Castillo de Jagua.
