helicopters in south slope...

Late last night (around 1) and at various points of the evening I heard helicpopters hovering near 4th/5th Avs./Prospect Av. and they were still around when I got up at 6:00 this morning. I spotted one and it had a search light on the front. Anyone know what's going on or what they were looking for?

I heard them too, at 6:30am. I caught a snippet on channel 2 that showed traffic totally dead stopped on Hamilton ave. I thought it was a car accident, but they said there was a stabbing?? Maybe someone stabbed another person in their car??? I can't find anything on the news websites. :?

A man was found with his throat slashed on Hamilton and 2nd Ave around 4:30am. The helicopters woke me up around 6am... had to do some investigating as to why they were hovering.

A gasoline truck went off the BQE as well last night, though I'm not sure exactly where.
