Last night I saw more newbies walking briskly with their heads down than this poll is actually showing. I wonder if that changes in the day time?

I was walking with my head down last night, but that's because I was friggin' cold.

I always walk fast (head up or down) just because I have shit to do and want to get somewhere. No fear involved But I do see how I could be mistaken for scared newbie.

depends on weather. cold days, my head goes down. warmer days i scan around the area.

Maybe some keep their heads down to avoid getting dog crap on their Prada shoes?

thats probably true . god i step on crap so many times. now days i look carefully when i step near some areas. that known to have pooh problems.

I don't see anything redeeming about this post. It's just repeated attempts by one user to "mix it up" on the tired subject of gentrification without adding anything new to the discussion.

There are about a dozen active posts where you can complain about gentrification, so if you find Breuckelen's continued "provocative" jabs compelling, then go argue about it there. I think most people here are just completely bored with it, frankly.
