New to the area - apartment help

edited November -1 in Park Slope
Our son will be moving to PS this weekend from Tampa. For right now, he's doing a sub-let until mid-December.

He has a 90 lb Lab (our grand-puppy) that's staying in Tampa, but we'd like to find a place in PS area that'll allow large dogs.

Any recommendations for finding a long-term rental or sub-let that is dog-friendly?

Thanks

try duct taping the dog's mouth shut so it won't bark. the landlord will never know.

Well, I guess that's an option, but not a particularly good one

Anyone have any suugestions that are a bit more practical?

Find a broker that knows Landlord's who allow dogs in their buildings.
Bruce Grant at Rita Knox Realty can help.

that's what I was thinking. Why isn't your son looking for his own apartment. Even if you are paying for it (which is your business), why the hand holding.

    First---
    if you're still reading...........

my building is great and is renovated.. kind of expensive but if he has a roommate.. (not that expensive, mine is $1450 for 2 bdrm, fully renovated). No fee, pet friendly, and very safe.. also just a few minutes from a great dog park.

this is the ad.. keep looking on craigslist too. This apartment is in Prospect Heights border, just on the other side of the Botanical garden on a quiet and very diverse street.

    second---
all I can imagine is some concerned dad googling brooklyn and being disappointed from getting smart remarks from elitist brooklynites. Do you talk to your parents like that?

Ha ha ha. I was referred to indirectly as a loser with money from Texas and it is all hysterical to me!

I have been lurking on these boards for a long while getting ready to make the leap back to NY.

I don't blame yall for your attitude, actually very on point most always.

Authenticity...not enough these days. Better this family gets a heads up before this young man shows up with big dog and has the reality check in person. Tampa to NY, maybe he needs to look at Coney...

Nope -- all from different IP's.
