South Slope to Brooklyn College by public transportation?

I need to get to Midwood High School (right by Brooklyn College) tomorrow morning and have been studying the MTA bus map for half an hour now in confusion. Hopstop.com suggests taking the B67 to the 2 train, which seems to make some sense, but I think the kids around here who go to Midwood take the F to a bus - but I don't know which bus. Any advice? Thanks.

You could take the B-68 from Prospect Park Circle (15th Street/PPSW) to Ave J and CIA, transfer to the B-6 or B-11. Or the F-Train to Ave J and take the B-6. The #2 train lets you off by the Junction (last stop) and then you walk up about a 1/4 mile. The B-41 Limited also stops at the Junction, I think.

Thank you! I will try the F to the B6. The B68 seems very unreliable, though I only take it on weekends, and maybe it is better during the week.

Most transit in Brooklyn slows down and can be sparse on weekends save the B-41. I don't think there's a day that goes by where that bus line isn't packed to the rafters, even if you see five in a row.

It's too late for you now, but I went to Brooklyn College for 2 years and to ge there, it was best to take the bus down 7th Ave to Bergen and take the #2 train.

On my way back, I often took the bus from Brooklyn College (I saw if it's there, if not, I took the train) and then took the F train.

It's a schlepp either way and very slow.

My last year, I usually took the #2 both ways and on my way back got out at Grand Army Plaza. It's easier to walk downhill from there and even late at night, there were people walking my way on 7th Ave.

Not too late, because I ended up not going and rescheduled for next week. So thanks. My daughter is considering applying to Midwood for next year but the commute is an issue.

my boyfriend works at brooklyn college and the #2 is easiest.

The 2 to the junction goes right there. There's an exit on Campus Road.

I just experienced today that the #5 does not go to Brooklyn College anyomore, it stopped at Bowling Green.
I used to take the #5 to BC from Atlantic Avenue, it was a lot faster than the #2.
Now I guess, you have no choice.

The 5 still goes to Flatbush, but only on weekdays during rush hour (morning and evening).

does anyone in the city carpool, or does that only happen in the suburbs?

I asked on the train and was obviously told the wrong information.
When I went to BC, the #5 was running to BC until 9PM.
In this case though, it is the best strategy to take th #5 from Atlantic Avenue during rush hour.
