Radiators

Hello all, I'm looking for a vintage radiator for my apartment -- to replace one that was removed. It doesn't need to be a collector's item or anything, just compatible with an old steam heat system.

Any suggestions of where I can find one?

I think your best bet is going to probably be a salvage place. Don't know of any in Brooklyn off the top of my head, but two in Manhattan I saw mentioned recently on Brownstoner are Olde Good Things and Demolition Depot.

I've heard of Demolition Depot (in the Bronx?) but not the other one -- I'll check it out. Was hoping to find a salvage place somehwat closer to home, but I'll take what I can get. Thanks!

Try doing a search on NewYork.Citysearch.com for salvage -- you might find something closer! I just don't know of any myself.

I HAVE THEM I AM DEMOLISHING MY HOMES AND HAVE SANDED ALL THE OLD PAINT OFF AND PAINTED THEM WITH HIGH HEAT PAINT, THEY LOOK AS GOOD AS NEW, CALL 718 523 8165 OR 212 245 0540
