empty space next to tea lounge on 10th st

anybody know what it is/was/going to be? i'd love to have it for my own business idea!

Subject: Space next to Tea Lounge

Many years ago it was a wonderful butcher shop. The owner died and space was empty for a while. Shortly after 9-11, it opened as a sorta speciaity prepared food carry out and was not successful. Think there were financial problems and the food was not especially good A big renovation was done with lovely custom cabinets and shelving and food cases. It has been empty for a couple years---with most of the furnishing still there, I think. Owner, now wants to sell the building.

The owner was trying to lease it from at least July 03 and then switched to trying to sell it some time this past spring. I haven't seen anything at all happen there in the past three years except that change. Would love to see something open there!

Subject: grace

the place was going to be "grace on the go" or something...it was renovated by the owner of Grace, which I guess is a restaurant in the city....

the dude from grace was kinda an ass and had some run-ins with people in the neighborhood (other stores on 7th) and definitely burned his bridges and was only opened for about a month before he pulled out and cut his loses....

the problem with the place is that there isn't a kitchen but it's setup as a restaurant, deli shop, so now when they try to lease it there's no real store that can adapt the space without spending tons of money.
