funeral services

Unfortunately, I need to ask if anyone has any advice on funeral services in the neighborhood. We just need a cremation, nothing else. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know if this is going to help you, but here's a google map showing several funeral homes with their phone numbers in our area:

captain mIsnt there a funeral place on Vanderbuilt? -
dailyheightsSorry to hear about your loss...
Sort of off topic, but does anyone here remember "A FUNERAL CONCEPT CENTER" on Flatbush? I think the "concept" was saving money by bringing your own casket. Anyway, now it's a cell phone store. -

Did you guys see six feet under sunday when they bury the guy in a canvas bag thing? -
candicissimaI've never heard of that store, but you can buy caskets at a Costco upstate. My dad was like "*shrug*" but I think that's kinda sick. -

I hear that if you order three deluxe pizzas at Chucky Cheese, you get a free take-home cardboard casket. -
whyfibuying caskets at a retail store is a pretty sensitive subject for funeral home directors- in most states, there are still laws preventing people from buying caskets from anyone other than a licensed funeral director... gotta keep the margins hugely padded, don't ya know?! -

teshDefinately the saddest SFU episode ever, although the one with David getting carjacked was the most disturbing. Can't believe there are only 2 more episodes.Captain M wrote: [quote=daveb][quote=dailyheights]Sort of off topic, but does anyone here remember "A FUNERAL CONCEPT CENTER" on Flatbush?
