blackout on 14th btwn 6 7th ave

Anyone have any info on the blackout that occured earier this morning on 14th street between 6th and 7th avenues? I was without power this morning and it just turned back on around noon.

All i know is that there was a fire in the manhole that caused the outage.

What time was it? I know I heard helicopters around 5 or 6am and I was thinking it was too early for the marathon.

I feel like I've been hearing helicopters almost every nite these days.

I woke up first around 8:30 and there was an emergency Con Ed truck outside my window, not sure how long it was out there.

I went back to sleep and left the apt around 1pm, they were still working on it. I was back by 2pm and it was fixed.
