Anyone know what's happening to Fulton Street? It's been made one way for about 10 blocks and the B25 and 26 have to detour around to Atlantic Ave. Jeez it's annoying.

I think they are putting in new water and sewer lines and rerouting some other utility lines as well. Get used to it because I think it will be some months before it goes back to normal.

I guess they're preparing for all of Ratner's poop, it has to go somewhere. Thanks for the update

I overheard a B26 driver tell another passenger to "get ready for two years of this." I didn't have the emotional energy to ask him to confirm.

The detour isn't actually that bad, though it did catch me offguard the first day. The driver made no announcement whatsoever (even as a crowd bumrushed the exit not knowing what the situation was).

They need to make it clearer to drivers that there's a 10 block detour, not just a narrowing of the street. People are merrily driving past the detour sign, only to turn around when they realize their error. It is a disaster waiting to happen, although it is also mildly entertaining.

Going east Vanderbilt to Bedford and west Nostrand to Vanderbilt

ETA: Those are the blocks that the buses detour around. Not sure if the road is closed that entire stretch.

A quick question about Fulton St, does anyone know what new stores will be replacing the few that were closed between Nostrand and Bedford?
