Damn alternate side

Anyone else forget that today is not an alternate side suspension day? bastards. first time in 6 years I got a ticket for this!

Sorry friend. I called 311 yesterday to inquire. Figured it was suspended. IT SHOULD have been suspended.
Had a tough time finding a spot at 8 this morning. City life... ](*,)

LoL. Nyc suspend parking today? picture that. This city is $$$hungry.

Nope, I know to check the calendar, because for days like day after Thanksgiving it's on, but for random holidays I've never heard of, it's off.

One ticket in 6 years is not bad at all.

I have one in 9 years. And I actually moved my car to that spot on purpose. I guess I had a senior moment and got confused as to which side I needed to be on.

My parents, who were here visiting, got one too.
It was less than I thought it would be, however. Only $45? I remember my friends getting ones for parking in a metered spot too long and they got $150 ones. Of course this was in Manhattan--if that makes a difference.

Regardless--another reason not to have a car unless I reeeeally need it.

I'm just happy that I didn't get one of the dreaded green stickers of death. I don't know why sometimes they do it and sometimes not. My car got the ticket before 8am. Cars on the next block that got them at 11am did get the stickers. Not sure why?
