Smell of baking bread: Atlantic Ave Washington??

Every time I walk to the C train, I am overcome with the amazing smell of bread near Atlantic Avenue. If the winds are blowing the right way, I can even smell it a block away from my house on Underhill.

Does anyone know where this bread smell comes from? I sometimes suspect it comes from the Zion church, but the smell is strong in the morning and also relatively late (10pm, etc.)

=P~ The smell is AMAZING!! Especially when you're stumbling home drunk in the wee hours. I think the source might be on Waverly, between Atlantic and Fulton Street, but I'm not sure.

There is a brewery right there, so it might be beer and other yeasty things. One of the Heartland breweries is right down the street from us. In fact, the brewery might be opening up to the public soon for Brooklyn Brewery type events/drink house. It's be more like a beer garden, though. Let's cross our fingers.

    Hi all!

I happened to live on Washington between Atlantic and Fulton. My apartment is at the back of a brownstone on the block and I have a wonderful view of what appears to be a commercial bakery.

They run around in white hats late into the night baking bread and other tempting things.
