How crazy are the stores today?

So, anyone been out shopping yet today? I'm itching to hit a couple of after-Christmas sales after I get off work today, but I wonder if it'll be too much of a madhouse to bear. Anyone been to Target or Century 21?

i'm home would love to know for super cheap discounts hehe.

A lot of people who work in office-type jobs get the week between Christmas and New Year's Day off. That might explain it.

the train ride in was quiet.
not many people out at all on the trains today

at the office we're at about 1/3 staff -- many people took this week off as vacation time. the typical 100 emails a day is down to 10

trying to figure out how to make 8 hours pass by real quick :-'

maybe i'll go check out the daffy's on 34th street :-s

It didn't seem like there was much pedestrian traffic at 6th Ave and 34th, or even at 5th ave and 42nd. :shock:

I just went to the Saks sale (today only). the streets are packed, as usual, in midtown at this time of year, but the store was pretty empty off the main floors and the deals were worth the trouble. yes, I'm kinda high maintenance.
