Spa service for men in the Slope?

Anyone have any good experiences with any of the spas in the Slope? I'm looking for a place where a guy won't feel out of place, does massages, and has male massage therapists.

If there are no Slope recommendations, any feedback on Nickel and/or Bliss in Manhattan would also be welcome.

i've had two great massages at D'Mai Urban Spa on 5th Ave, from male therapists, and I'm male.

I treated my boyfriend to a spa pedicure at d'mai urban spa. He is not the spa-type AT ALL, but felt comfortable in the setting and actually really enjoyed it!

Why is it important that the therapist is male?

Just a preference... I like firm massages, and those I've received from female therapists have tended to be less firm than I would normally like.

The Slope Health & Fitness club has Massage services that you can purchase separately without having to buy an entire membership.

Opal on Fifth Ave is also good - you can request a guy, although I think the majority are female there. You can request a firmer massage from anyone of course. It's very low key - more zen-crunchy, less girlie-spa, lots of athlete focus.
