There is a car on Lincoln near Underhill whose car alarm keeps going off. Is there anything I can do? ](*,)

This always happens to us around Underhill and Saint Marks... you can call 311 but I think that's about it.

Or, you could leave a nasty note on the car for the owner to find.

I'm not necessarily advocating this, but if you left a note on the hood under a brick (à la a paperweight), it would convey both that the alarm inconvenienced you and that you have access to a supply of bricks. Just saying.

if you call 311 they will transfer you to 911, so you might as well just call 911 directly. i am sure someone on this board won't agree, but whatever.

You can purchase these, which not only come in handy for the car alarms, but for almost every complaint on these boards, including some we haven't yet discussed.

It's the big red boat-like caddy hulk. I've biatched about it to 911 several times. Guess I'll have to print out my own A-hole cards (TX for the amusing suggestion!!!!)

I don't have anything helpful to add, but what hell is the point of having a car alarm if you're nowhere near the car to respond when it goes off?

I understand the deterrent effect. However if someone really wants to break into your car, once they realize you're not going to respond, they'll just break in with or w/o the alarm.

    What's the dang point!?

God I hate car alarms so much.
