Hi all,

I don't live in Fort Greene, but I need to interview a student who attends Brooklyn Technical High School as part of his college application. As an alumni, I've done a bunch of interviews over the years, usually at quiet coffee shops in the late afternoon. Any ideas of a good place in Fort Greene?

Thanks for any ideas you can offer!

Tillie's on Dekalb and Vanderbilt is a good choice, as is Smooch on Carlton at Dekalb. Smooch is slightly closer to Brooklyn Tech, but the difference is negligible.

Don't know if its too late, but The Green Apple on Dekalb off St. Felix (a block and a half from the school) is also an good choice.

If you're going to Tillie's, just call and make sure they don't have some performance planned. I interviewed a student last year at Tillie's, and it got cut short by people prepping for a concert.
