I suspect (but cannot prove) that the rents are ridiculous and that sol goldman investments (owns the building) makes out just fine by claiming a loss at the end of the FY when the places close...probably makes their tax profile favorble enough that they're not interested in changing.

And how about the old candystore? It's been...what...over a year and a half since it closed.
