The International Brooklyn School is relocating to the Vanderbilt space that once housed a nursery school. The space above Caree and Joyce Bake Shop has been vacant for some time.

wow. those are rather unfortunate initials! gotta admit, tho, it made me laugh to see the words 'welcome IBS.' i'm sure no one else has ever expressed that sentiment. :-& good to see the space being used productively!!

...reminds me of my all-time favorite sign, gracing the awning of the brazilian restaurant, futura bistro moderne, on 9th street a couple of years ago. it read: "futura b.m." i almost had one when first rode by, i was laughing so hard. ya gotta love that kind of sensible 'truth in advertising' a food product.

Very nice, the place was empty for a while.
I guess that also means more traffic on Vanderbilt during the pick and drop hours.
