As of todays NY Post, the 650 million dollars BAM District is slated to begin. I'm really looking foward to this. I just bought an apartment 1 block from there.

    Ah, you guys clearly haven't been on this board long enough to know that you're supposed to be OPPOSED to any kind of development in downtown Brooklyn. Don't worry, you'll learn.

    NYC Dept of Housing and Preservation put out a press release today about an RFP for a Dance Center/Affordable Housing/Retail mixed use development in the BAM LDC:

    Fulton and Ashland? Must be planning to use the old liquor store space + parking lot (where Forté Condos sales office is now). That could end up being a cool little corner one day - with the Bam Harvey right there and Forté ground-floor retail (which will hopefully be something cool, not another Duane Reade or CVS).

    I agree. I think we have enough pharmacies. How about a nice restaurant? The area certianly needs more of them.
