what am i missing east of underhill?

i live on prospect place and very rarely if ever travel east of underhill ave.
ive been to tom's a bunch of times and tavern on dean occasiaonlly, what else is worth checking out? i heard there was a good sushi spot near tavern on dean is this true? i love geido on flatbush but if i have to look at that disgusting carpet of theres any more im going to vomit.

    gen, the islands, ripple, natural heights, the beer warehouse - all are on washington and worth a visit.

    I second Taro. Especially since I own stock in the place. You should also check out David's Brisket House on Herkimer and Atlantic Ave. Great corned beef, pastrami and brisket of course.

    But I think the sushi place you're thinking about is Gen, which is at Washington and St. Marks. Also very good, especially for eating in. Taro's the best in the neighborhood, though.

    You should check out the Crown Heights board too for more stuff east of where you are!
