WiFi?

I don't suppose there's WiFi access in or near Prospect/Crown Heights? Just moved to the area so haven't gotten a chance to explore such luxuries. Fingers crossed, definitely don't want to come way back to the UES for work tonight.

You're looking for a specific spot to go and sit, right? Because obviously it's not a matter of a whole neighborhood having it or not.

Half on Vanderbilt should do the trick. Beware, though, of their habit of drastically dimming the lights in the evenings, even when you're trying to read. Should be less of a problem with a laptop than a book.

Both Prospect Perk and Slope Coffee Lounge on Flatbush have free WiFi. You can also use the Brooklyn Public Library.

Ozzies on 7th has pay WiFi, but you can pick up a few weak signals nearby...

We've covered this before somewhere...Le Gamin also has it at Vanderbilt and Dean.

I wasn't able to get on the network at Gamin. Maybe it was down?

You'll have to ask them! I've had no problems when I've attempted it at Le Gamin, worked quite well, as a matter of fact, and the coffee ROCKS..

Agreed 100% about the coffee. Hands down the best in the neighborhood, no matter how many times the Heights Coffee people recommend themselves on this board.

Why the hate towards Heights? I think it's great. I am not familiar with this other place, but I am moving to Dean St. this week and will check it out.

It's not hate, it's suspicion that people who have come to the board to praise the shop are somehow affiliated with it, since they never seem to post about other topics.
