Hi, this is my first post.
I have been living in Prospect Heights for 15 years. I feel very much a part of this neighborhood. I am pretty sure you all have plans for this Labor Day. But if you are in town...Here is a small solidarity event for the victims of Katrina and to protest the way this disaster is being handled.

Candle light vigil and donation collection for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
St. Marks Avenue, in front of the community garden between Carlton and Vanderbilt Avenue.
7pm to 8pm
The donations will be sent to the relief funds dedicated to helping people of New Orleans and Southern Mississippi recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.
