Ok, on a serious note....why? Are you planning on traveling? if so, just use an ATM at the airport when you arrive. The rates will be better than those exchange booths.

    no, not Spain. Paris. :-)

I agree w/ flexichick. The atm at the airport when you arrive at your destination is the best bet.

I agree with flexi and DD. the atm at the airport will give you a good rate. of course, if you want about 20 euros, I've got them. no clue what the exchange rate is. and 20 euros aren't gonna do much.

Thanks-We always use the atms but would like to have $100 on us b/c we have to make a connecting bus quickly. It would be just one less thing we had to do upon arrival. Does any recommend any place in Brooklyn or Manhattan? One place we called was 1.36-which is kind of stinky....

Thomas Cook usually has a decent rate. I know there's one in the financial district.

For only $100 worth, I'd just go take what I can get. The most you will lose is a few $, which IMO is not worth searching all over town for.

actually, you can probably change that at the airport in nyc/jersey before you fly out. most airports have money exchange joints.

Any American Express office. There's one at 111 Broadway just south of City Hall. Usually a good exchange rate. One inside the Macy's at Herald Square, too. One at Lex & E. 63rd, too. Good for your starter cash. But get the rest overseas.
