I was walking down 5th avenue last nite and i could have sworn there was another restaurant where miriam's used to be. Maybe i had a little bit too much to drink and got mixed up? :?

i just passed by there and miriam's is open for business as always

You might have been thinking of the new place that opened this weekend at 5th & Lincoln. Babouche or something like that - Moroccan, I think.

Yes, thats it....i recall the name starting with a B and not recognizing it. What was there before Babouche moved in?

It was a food market called "Fresh Fields" or "Fresh Meadows" or something very close to that. Didn't seem to last very long at all, and the space has been empty for quite some time.
