Gossip on Bocaccio Grill (Cafe Bistro Moderno) 9th Street

So the first incarnation of this Resataurant ws the Bocaccio Grill and when it first opened 7 years ago or so it was terrific. Then it went downhill. Then it reopened at Bistro Moderno ( abbreviated as BM..and unfortunately those initals were prominent on the sign). Food was inedible. I passed by afew days ago and noticed it is being renovated. One of the workmen said it was gonna be a restaurant but don't have any details. I wondered if someone knew an inside story on this one.
I hope it turns out to be a place worthy of trying. The location next to Mickey D's is not inspiring but I would be willing to try one more time again.
Have you noticed some locations seem to be cursed no matter what store opens in the space?

I passed by today and met the new owner. It is gonna be an Italian Resaurant.. The guy seemed enthusiastic. H eis looking to open by the end of the month.
