Running Track on Fulton

Despite the snow today, it will soon be warm enough to run outside again. I was wondering what the story was regarding the running track next to the high school (?) on Fulton. I see people running on it who are obviously not students, but are they entering it illegally? Is it open certain times?

While I would love to run around Prospect Park, it's a little to far - I'm more of a 5K than a marathon.

Alternatively, are there any running groups in the neighborhood?

Yes, people run the Brooklyn Tech track all the time! It's open in the mornings and weekends.

It's really underutilized, and could be cleaner, but still great for running.

Which track are you referring to? There is one on Fulton and Vanderbilt and another on Fulton and Utica. Both are closed to the public except for limited times in the mornings before school starts, and the Tech track is open weekends. Not sure whether the Boy & Girls track has weekend hours or not.

fulton and clermont/vanderbilt...they open it in the mornings and close it in the evenings. i've ran on it on weekdays and weekends. a great place to get a jog in for those who can't do the entire loop of prospect park nor do they want to...

    Subject: tech track

I run there on weekends and early in the morning. I have yet to figure out the actual time that it does open. I have been there as early as 5:45/6 and it will be open but sometimes not.

There is however a # listed on a sign by the entrance that you can call regarding the use of the track. I imagine they would be able to give the public use hours
